Guidelines for Parents & Students

These guidelines ensure a safe, disciplined and productive environment for every child at SPS.

General

  • • Parents must abide by rules & regulations as mentioned in the school diary and admission form.
  • • Inform the school about any pre-existing physical or emotional issues your child may have.
  • • The school sends SMS for urgent messages — no responsibility for network/internet failures.
  • • All communication should be addressed to the Principal.
  • • Any employee demanding a favour should be reported to the office.

Drop & Pick-up

  • • Drop your ward 10 minutes before the bell rings.
  • • Leave school premises before the assembly bell rings.
  • • Pick up your ward on time after school.
  • • Be careful while parking — do not park on road or in front of the school gate.
  • • Do not pay advance or send money through the rickshaw puller.

Dress & Belongings

  • • Ensure all belongings are prominently labeled.
  • • Girls must wear only black hair accessories.
  • • Sikh students should wear only black patka.
  • • Do not put kajal in your ward's eyes.
  • • Do not send fancy stationery to school.
  • • Pre-Nursery & Nursery: send extra clothes daily in a labeled polybag.
  • • Pre-Nursery & Nursery: pin a hanky on the dress; LKG onwards carry in pocket.

Communication

  • • Avoid use of cell phones in school premises — keep them switched off.
  • • Avoid talking to teachers in morning or after school hours.
  • • Do not ask teachers for personal contact numbers.
  • • Send messages on white pages of school diary for clarifications.
  • • Inform school of any change of address or phone number.

Academics

  • • Check Index of Books for H.W./C.W. and Exercise Notebooks daily.
  • • Countersign the diary daily.
  • • If child is absent, note classwork/homework after school hours — late work not checked.
  • • Ensure English is spoken at home; at least common day-to-day words.
  • • Do not allow scribbling or completing pages not done in class.

School Partnership

  • • Parents must consent to school posting child's photos/videos on official pages.
  • • Allow your child to participate in all school events and trips.
  • • In case of emergency, parents will be informed at the earliest.
  • • School will not be held responsible for unexpected incidents during first-aid administration.
